SAHUARITA, Ariz. — Roni Lee Rose Hesseling D’Eustachio, known affectionately as Omi, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her kids on August 21, 2025, in Sahuarita, AZ. Born on March 19, 1943, in Escanaba, she lived a full and generous life marked by a commitment to her community and a profound love for her family.
She was well beloved in her hometown even gaining the recognition for her charm and beauty receiving multiple beauty queen titles.
Roni had a distinguished career in banking, where she served as the Vice President and Manager of The Green Valley Banking Center. Her professional achievements, however, were matched by her dedication to volunteerism. Since 1988, she was an active Rotary Chairperson, deeply involved in various community service projects that reflected her giving spirit and charitable nature. Through that association she hosted many foreign exchange students from across the globe.
Beyond her professional and volunteer activities, Roni was a devoted dog lover, which was a significant part of her life. Her home was always a welcoming space, filled with the presence of cherished pets and close friends.
She is survived by her brother, Claude; sister-in-law, Barbara; her sons, Ross and Ryan; daughters-in-law, Jamie and Marcy; step-daughters, Mariel and Stephanie; her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will miss her deeply. Roni was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony D’Eustachio.
Roni’s legacy of kindness, leadership in her community, and the warm, charitable presence she maintained throughout her life will be remembered by all who knew her. Her family and friends are comforted by the memories of her love and the impactful life she led.
