ESCANABA — Eleanor “Ellie” B. Livermore, 90, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Bishop Noa Home.

She was born on October 12, 1934 in Escanaba, daughter to Arthur and Lucille (Bedard) Guay. Eleanor graduated from Escanaba High School, class of 1952.

On July 24, 1954, the former Eleanor Guay married Duane Roger Livermore at St. Anne’s Church in Escanaba.

For several years, Ellie was an operator for Michigan Bell and also worked for the Morrison Shop after raising her family.

Playing cards and going to the casino were always activities that Ellie enjoyed. She was an avid die hard Green Bay Packer fan.

She was a member of St. Thomas Church and the Bishop Baraga Circle.

Among survivors include her husband of 71 years, Duane of Escanaba; three children, James (Tammy Clausen) Livermore of Marinette, Julie (Steven) Aderman of Menominee, and Jayne (Marvin) Szukalowski of Kipling; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and sister, Noreen Belanger of Escanaba.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Mineau and brother, Donald Guay.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 9th from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 3 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church with Rev. Joseph Boakye Yiadom officiating. A meal will immediately follow in the church hall.

Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
