Ronald Lee Robison

POWERS — Ronald Lee Robison, 80, of Powers, Mich., passed away on Thursday July 31, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with multiple health issues.

Ron “Bull Moose” was born November 5, 1944 to Mertis and Charlotte Robison of Bagley, Mich. and was one of ten children.

Ron’s lifework was owner of Ron’s Standard Service in Spalding for many years where he was an Ace Owner and could “Repair Anything – But A Broken Heart.”, followed by auto body repair expert, and over the road trucking where his travels took him through every state in the continental U.S.! He finished his working years with the Menominee County Road Commission where he added many friends to the endless list of appreciative recipients of his culinary expertise!

Ron was also an honorary member of the Spalding Township Volunteer Fire Department.

When Ron wasn’t working, he enjoyed cooking for his friends, family and co-workers. He especially enjoyed putting on a good pig roast. Ron also loved to can, where he operated “Ron’s Pickle Factory” right out of his kitchen, one time making 72 quarts of pickles in a day! He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to classic country music and could never pass up the opportunity to enjoy a good polka! But most of all, Ron enjoyed spending time with his family. They were his whole heart and he was the happiest when they were with him.

Ron will be remembered for his love for his family, his big heart, his gift of storytelling, his uncanny memory and his devotion to his friends of which there were many!

Ron is survived by his two daughters, Tuesday “T.L.” (Jerry) Schetter of Powers, Mich.; Jennifer “Jay” (Brian Heeren) Robison of Tomah, Wis., and bonus son Brett (Paula) Harter of Hermansville, Mich.; grandchildren, Justin Deno of Carney, Mich., Maizee Eppers of Tomah, Wis., Bradley Harter of Powers, Mich., and Nikki Harter of Hermansville Mich. He is also survived by two sisters, LaVonne Kloida and Shirley Tucker; four brothers, Mertis Jr., James (Donna), Donald (Marci), and Kenneth; many nieces and nephews; and his closest friends, Buddy LaPointe, Ron Deviley, Denny Kosewski and Bill Warner.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Gerald, Richard and Thomas, his son-in-law Dan Deno, his sisters-in-law Jeannie, Jeanette and Janet; and his brothers-in-law Bernard Kloida and Al Tucker. He is also now reunited with his close friends Sonny Anderson and George LaCount.

Ron did not want a fuss at this time but, a celebration of his life will take place at a later date. A place and time to be determined.

Until then Ron, this Bud’s for you!
