Patrick ‘Dale’ Julien

GLADSTONE — Patrick “Dale” Julien, age 86, of Gladstone passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba.

Dale was born March 17, 1939 in Detroit, the son of George and Agnes (Roberts) Julien. He served his country proudly as a veteran with the U.S. Army from 1956-58. He married Gloria Chenier on July 2, 1960 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Flat Rock. They were united in marriage for 56 years. Dale was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wells. He was an equipment operator with the Delta County Road Commission for many years, retiring in 2000.

Dale is survived by his children, Darin (Wendy) Julien, Moreen (Phil) Weaver, Loreen (Daniel) Stutzman and Joleen (Michael) Albrecht; siblings, Andre Julien and Joan Tolson, daughter-in-law Mary Julien, sister-in-law Donna Julian, 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria, his parents, two sons Brien and Kevin Julien, and brother George Julian.

Dale’s family would like to thank the staff at Bishop Noa Home for their kind and compassionate care in the seven months he was there.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wells. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. with Rev. Ben Ramthun officiating. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall. Dale will be laid to rest in the Escanaba Township Cemetery.
