Paul Douglas Miller

ESCANABA — Paul Douglas Miller of Escanaba, Michigan 70, passed away on July 6, 2025, at the Christian Park Village.

He was born to Wallace and JoAnne (Erickson) Miller, in Iron Mountain, Michigan on July 4, 1955. After graduating from Kimberly High School in Kimberly, Wis. in 1973, Paul attended Community College in Appleton and graduated from Michigan Tech in February of 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

On October 13, 1979, he married the love of his life Alice Sonja Marie Hilden in Dollar Bay, Michigan.

Paul started his career with Hanna Mining Company in Minnesota and was transferred to Washington State with Hanna Mining company. He then accepted a job for Dow Corning in Elizabeth Town, Ky. He then accepted a position with Boehringer Ingelheim Phan Co in Danbury, Connecticut. He then went to work for Parke Davis Company in Ann Arbor, Mich. which became Pfizer and was a project manager for them until his retirement.

Paul and Ali moved to Escanaba in 2017. Paul was an avid Packer fan and a member of the Long Riders Club. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and anything related to Harley Davidson.

Bobby is survived by his wife Alice “Ali”; son, Christopher George Miller of Lansing, Mich.; brothers, David (Cheryl) Miller of Suamico, Wis. and Dale (Shanna) Miller of Green Bay, Wis.; sister, Linda (Mike) Miller of Hermansville, Mich.; sister-in-law, Linda Barber of Metamora, Mich.; brother-in-law, Kurt Hilden-Hancock and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 10., at Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba, Mich. Funeral services celebrating the life of Paul Douglas Miller will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Hartten officiating. A luncheon will be held in the Ludington Room located at the Anderson Funeral Home following the funeral service. Burial will take place in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
