Nancy Alice Boardman

CRANFORD, N.J — Nancy Alice Boardman, 83, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025 in Cranford N.J.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Chapel Service at Gardens of Rest in Escanaba on August 9. at 10. a.m. followed by the placement of her urn at 11 a.m.
She was born on November 1 1941 in Ames, Iowa to her father Bill Boardman and mother Dorothy Crowther.
Her life journey had a stop in George Washington University, then a chance encounter in Spain with Manuel Pereira who she married. Nancy and the late Manuel Pereira then began their lives together in Italy before moving to Portugal where she taught English and had her two sons Miguel and Jaime. The family moved to the United States with Miguel and Jaime at 7 and 3 years old.
Up next was a distinguished career at the General Accounting Office for the federal government, the founding of the Greenbelt Comets soccer team in Maryland that Miguel played in, and a proud membership at the Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church.
She was an exemplary mother, wife, and a beacon in this world.
