Donald James Hendrickson

Don was born January 20, 1935 in Gladstone, the son of Milton and Mary (Arrowood) Hendrickson. He attended and graduated from Gladstone Area Schools. He then went to begin his 37 year career at Mead Paper Company.

Don was united in marriage to Betty Caswell nearly 71 years ago on August 21, 1954 at the Covenant Church in Gladstone. Don and Betty both have been longtime members.

Don had a lifelong love of automobiles, especially Hudson classic cars. Having bought, sold and traded over 350 cars in his lifetime. A longtime member of the Vintage Tin car club and the Hudson Essex Terraplane car club.

In addition to his loving wife, Betty, Don is survived by: sons, Keith Donald (Linda S.) Hendrickson of Gladstone, Mich. and Dale John (Tammy) Hendrickson of Brussels, Wis.; grandchildren, Kelsey Adam (Jodi) Hendrickson of Gladstone, Mich., Great Grandchildren: Ethan Hendrickson and Keegan Romero, and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Hendrickson.

Family will receive friends on Friday, August 1 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the United Covenant Church in Gladstone. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. at the United Covenant Church with Pastor Aaron Anderson officiating. A meal will be served in the parish hall.
