Vicki D. Stone

Vicki was born on May 30, 1944 in Escanaba to parents George and Ruby Pirlot. She graduated from Escanaba High School and married Thomas “Tom” Stone, also of Escanaba. They relocated to northwest Indiana where they made a life, a living, and a family. Vicki was a great mother to her boys, Scott and Jeff. She was passionate about her family, even working at her boys school for a time. She was a talented hairdresser for the majority of her career. Vicki and Tom enjoyed traveling back to their beloved UP with their family, and to Florida as a couple. Upon their retirement they moved back to the UP and Gladstone where they enjoyed being back home. She took great pride and joy in watching her sons, grandsons and great granddaughters grow.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom as well as siblings Delores, Betty and Russel.

She is survived by her sons, Scott and Jeff; daughter-in-law Karrie; grandsons Benjamin and Dylan (Kylie); and great granddaughters Charlie, Sienna and Emerson. She will be greatly missed by them as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 14 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 PM with Pastor Elisabeth Daniels officiating. Vicki will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.
