Scott Allan Premo

MESQUITE, Texas — Scott Allan Premo was born April 22, 1965 in Escanaba, to Bill and Carol Premo, originally from Crystal Falls. He passed away on May 8, 2025 in Mesquite, Texas, where he had resided since 1985. Scott is survived by his siblings Dawn, Jeff, and Wendy, as well as his Aunt Patt Alft and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill Premo, Jr.
In his younger years Scott enjoyed skiing, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking and canoeing. Scott loved gaming, spending hours online playing with his close friend Dave. They often played pool over beer and jukebox oldies. Scott spent vacations attending Star Trek and Horror show conventions. He loved talking with the cast members, gathering obscure facts to share with friends and family.
Employed by the city of Garland, Texas, Scott was an IT specialist for the fire and emergency services department. His coworkers considered him a vital member of the team, keeping everything functioning behind the scenes.
Scott volunteered at In-Sync Exotics, a cat rescue center in Wylie, Texas. He loved cats of all sizes, sharing his home with several homeless cats. His ashes will be interred with those of Pounce and Zen, two of his favorite kitties, at a family plot in Crystal Falls, Mich., during a private ceremony. Scott will be deeply missed by family, friends and coworkers.
