GLADSTONE — Joyce Marie Osterberg, age 81, of Gladstone, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at UP Health Systems in Marquette.
Joyce was born April 14, 1944 in the daughter of Norman and Yvonne (LaFleur) Druding. She attended and graduated from Holy Name Catholic School. She spent her working career as a Dental Assistant in Escanaba for close to 25 years.
Joyce was united in marriage to Dale Osterberg on June 24, 1961. They spent 64 loving years together. In earlier years her favorite place to be was the cabin on the Escanaba River with family. Every Friday the couple would go out to dance and listen to music. She was a fabulous cook and prepared big spreads for all the family holidays. Her family always looked forward to this. Joyce was a selfless and caring person who put family and faith above all.
Joyce was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and a past member of the Gladstone Yacht Club. She loved a good game of Smear and never turned down a card game. She passed that joy onto her children. She always looked forward to canning and gardening and flowers. She was also a hunter and avid fisherman. She still holds the record for biggest buck out in McFarland at their former family camp.
In addition to her loving Husband, Dale Joyce is survived by daughter, Kathy Robitaille of Sheboygan, Wis.; son, Jay (Michelle) Osterberg of Gladstone, Mich.; brothers, Daniel (Jennifer) Druding of Gambrills, Md., Robert (Cathy) Druding of Gladstone, Mich.; sister, Donna Lamb of Moreno Valley, Calif.; granddaughter, Jenna (Nate) Liddick of Jackson, Tenn.; and great-grandson, Tanner Liddick.
In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by sister, MaryJo Meyers and infant daughter, Caroline.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Monday, May 19, 2025 at 5 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating.
