ESCANABA — Janis Ruth (Weiland) St. Vincent, 61, of Escanaba, passed away May 12, 2025, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.

She was born on June 19, 1963, in Escanaba, the daughter of Louis Weiland and Dona (Chevrette) (Weiland) Laporte. Jan graduated from Escanaba High School in 1981 and earned an Associate of Arts from Bay College in 1984. She later returned to continue her education and pursue additional credentials.

Jan began dating her husband, Bruce, in 1980. They married on July 30, 1983, and recently celebrated 41 years of marriage. They had three children together and Jan’s world revolved around her family.

As a teenager, Jan’s family purchased Jim’s Dari Kreme, where for over 40 years, her warm smile behind the counter became a beloved part of the community. Alongside her work at Jim’s, Jan dedicated 31 years to Pathways Community Mental Health, where she played a vital role in supporting the organization’s operations before retiring in 2021.

She was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan who enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Jan had a passion for thrifting, reading, and scrapbooking, and she cherished the time spent with her loved ones playing games and working on puzzles.

Jan was an incredibly kind, accepting, and selfless person who always saw the best in every situation. She will be so greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father and mother in-law, and her son, Zachary.

Jan is survived by her husband, Bruce; her children, Amber (Krystal) Ramsey and Austin (Ciara) St. Vincent; her sisters Laurel (Ron) Towns, Jude (Bill) St. Vincent, and Diane Weiland; as well as many close in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 17, from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 pm with Father Rick Courier officiating. Jan will be laid to rest next to her son in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.
