Beverly ‘Babs’ Schaefer
GREENFIELD, Wis. — Beverly Schaefer, affectionately known as “Babs” to her friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on July 27, 1936, in Escanaba, to parents Telesphore and Vivian Frappier. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Joseph and Jack Frappier; and loving daughter, Diane.
She was a dear big sister to Susan Frappier. A loving mother to Leon (Stephanie) Jacobsen, Steven (Ada) Jacobsen, and Lisa (Tim) Lang. A very fun and caring grandma of Nicholas (Ashlei) Jacobsen, Christie (Joseph) Fox, Diane Jacobsen, Maria (Jake) Lang, Patrick Jacobsen, Alyssa Jacobsen, and Jeanne (Brad) Weber. Lastly, a doting great-grandma of Talula, Ryatt, Grace, Wyatt and Benji. Also loved by all of her grand puppies!
Beverly took great pride in her job of 30+ years as an apartment manager for her apartment building. She came to make many lasting friendships with all her tenants, staff and the owner.
In Babs’ younger years, she entertained audiences at various Escanaba supper clubs with her sweet vocals, known as “The Darling of Song.” She will be greatly missed.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin, WI, from 10 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service at 12 p.m.
Interment at Valhalla Memorial Park, Milwaukee, WI.
