William E. Jones Jr.

William was born September 20, 1935 in Escanaba, the son of William and Flora (Lee) Jones Sr. He was united in marriage to Joyce Champeau on June 25, 1955. He worked for Gafner Machinery/Valmet in Gladstone for 30 years. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He was kind and always willing to lend a hand.

William is survived by his wife, Joyce, his children, Dale (Mary) Jones of Gladstone, Keith (Jacquie) Jones of Escanaba, Connie (Rodney) Trepanier of Lena, Wis. and Colleen (John) Hendrickson of Brampton; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a sister, Carol King of Escanaba and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Miron (Barb) and Warren (Barb) Jones, his sisters, Evelyn Caswell, Marie Dahn, Doris (William) Dahn and Dorothy Hardwick and a brother-in-law, David King.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 21 from 3 to 5:00 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Memorial services will follow at 5 p.m. with Fr. Brandon Yanni officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall at All Saints Church in Gladstone. William will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.
