GLADSTONE — Earl H. Guenette, 83, passed away at home on Saturday, December 7, 2024

Earl was born February 26, 1941 at home in Schaffer, the son of Lucien and Jeanette (Bouchard) Guenette. He was united in marriage to Therese Neuens on May 15, 1965 in the Holy Family Church in Flat Rock. He worked numerous jobs over the years including Cloverland Engines from which he retired. He was a member of the Holy Family Church in Flat Rock and was a simple man who enjoyed being outside, tending to the flower beds, riding his bike everywhere and working on cars and his tractor. He also had a knack for remembering everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries.

Earl is survived by his wife, Therese, children, Karen Guenette (ex son-in-law Jed Larson) and Mark (Kristine) Guenette, grandchildren, Dustin Guenette, Dakota Larson, Emily Guenette and Abby Guenette, siblings, Clara (Ken) Neuens, David Guenette, Bob (Lucy) Guenette and Ray Guenette, numerous nieces and nephews, two aunts, Mae Carlson and Noella Makosky and his dog, Bindy.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Randy, his parents, brother, Jimmy Guenette and his dogs, Molly and Buddy.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Flat Rock from 2 to 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4 p.m. with Fr. Sebastian Chacko officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Earl will be laid to rest in the Escanaba Township Cemetery.
