Victoria Lynn Spencer
ESCANABA — Victoria Lynn Spencer of Escanaba, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Bishop Noa Home after a brave battle with cancer.
Vicki was born March 10, 1969, in Western Michigan. She was adopted as an infant by Howard “Scott” Spencer and Karen Hodge of Spring Lake, Mich. Vicki graduated from Spring Lake High School. While in high school she was active in school band and choir as well as various music groups in church.
She attended classes at Ferris State University and Muskegon Community College in the hospitality field. She also completed an internship in Marco Island, Florida.
Giving of gifts was something she was known for. If Vicki saw something that made her think of you, it was certain to be under the Christmas tree. Often those gifts were a bit odd and perplexing to the recipient, as her nieces knew all too well, but those gifts always meant that she loved you very much.
Vicki and her mom moved to Escanaba in October 2020 to be closer to family. Within a year, her cancer diagnosis came. Still, she lived life as vibrantly as she was able. She would attend church activities at The Salvation Army as her health allowed and was enrolled as a Soldier (Church Member) on July 16 this summer.
Vicki is survived by her mother Karen Ann Hodge of Escanaba, her brother Daren (Roxanne) Spencer of Waukesha, WI. She was preceded in death by her father Howard “Scott” Spencer.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 2 at the Salvation Army in Escanaba.
