David Robert Nivison

Dave was born February 11, 1934 in Redford, Mich., the son of Robert and Dorothy (Marsh) Nivison. He attended and graduated from Gladstone Area Schools class of 1952.

Dave was united in marriage to Marion “Mya” Apelgren on June 21, 1952. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, traveling and reading.

In addition to his loving wife of 72 years, Mya, Dave is survived by: children, Robert (Cathy) Nivison, David (Milia) Nivison, Molly Anderson, Susan Wagner, Julie (Greg) Trombley and Lisa (Dennis) Largent; daughter-in-law, Chris Nivison; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, son, Kelly Nivison, sister, Barbara, grandson, Tim and son-in-law, Rodney Anderson.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, from 1 until 3 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. A funeral service will follow visiting hours at 3 p.m. with Pastor Elisabeth Daniels officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall.
