Cheryl Ann Miller
SHARPS CHAPEL, Tenn. — Cheryl Ann Miller, 66, of Sharps Chapel, Tenn., passed away the morning of Thursday, September 19, 2024 in her daughter’s home surrounded by her family.
Cheryl was born in Chicago, Ill. on October 12, 1957, daughter of Harold Ragnar and Doris Mae Ogren. She attended Escanaba High School and graduated in 1975.
She married Dean Eldred Miller on March 7, 1998 in Escanaba.
She spent most of her career as a beautician but worked for Ray Payment for several years and Sav-Mor IGA for a brief time.
As a natural outdoorswoman, she loved hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing and painting. Dean and Cheryl also lived on a dairy farm in Wilson for 15 years. She also loved all animals, especially dogs and exotic animals such as monkeys, kangaroos and kinkajous. Cheryl was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Family was her greatest source of pride and joy. One of her last wishes was to see her great-grandson, which she did.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Dean; children, Heidi (Chris) Berg of Bark River, Mich., Craig Jensen of Tennessee, John (Erin) Gendron of Yelm, Wash., Jordan (Ryan) Cappaert of Brillion, Wis.; stepchildren, Melissa (Sean) Boyce of Marinette, Wis., Melanie (Joel) Ahrens of Peshtigo, Wis., Stacy Klein of Birmingham, Ala. and Curtis Cappaert of Iron Mountain, Mich.; grandchildren, Austin (Brooke) Berg, Alexis (Noah Poupore) Berg, Amara Jensen, Payton Gendron and Cael Gendron; great-grandchild, Krew Berg; parents, Harold and Emeilia Ogren; siblings, Allan (Roni) Ogren and Darline (Dave) Goeman; along with several loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her birth mother, Doris; sister, Marilyn Stasson; niece, Sarah Mogen; father in-law, Eldred Miller; and mother in-law, Arlene Miller.
A visitation will be held at Salem Lutheran Church, 4304 D Rd, Bark River, MI, 49807 on September 24 from 2 to 3 p.m. EST. A funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. with Pastor Steve Hartten officiating with a luncheon to follow. A message of condolence can be directed towards the family at www.crawfordfuneralhomes.net.
