Charles Steven Stoykovich
BELLEVIEW, Fla. — Charles Steven Stoykovich, 65, of Belleview, Florida died peacefully at E.W. & Lucille Cates Hospice House on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
Charley was born on February 12, 1959 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He grew up in Powers, Michigan where he graduated from North Central High School where he loved playing basketball and running track. But his lifetime love was playing the keyboards. He was a very talented songwriter and singer. His love of performing allowed him to travel the world from Alaska to Florida, Switzerland to Germany and everywhere in between. Charley performed in over 25 bands traveling to these places.
Every chance he had he would go back home to Powers. He loved going in the fall so he could go to the Woodtick Music Festival. While there he would get to see long lost friends and possibly get to perform with great friends.
Charley was the choir director at St. Paul National Catholic Church in Belleview, Fla. His last gig was playing for THE LORD. He loved his church, church members and most of all Charley loved God and ALL his brothers and sisters.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother Dawn F. O’Neil (Maynard) and father Stephen J. Stoykovich.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte T. Stoykovich, Belleview, Fla.; stepfather, Kenneth M. O’Neil, Powers; brother, Randall J. and wife, Constance M. Stoykovich (Beauchamp); niece, Sonja M. (Stoykovich) and husband Logan Pachesny and great-nephew Aiden Vasquez, nephew Kevin C. Stoykovich and son great-nephew Knox of Manistee, Mich.
Service will be held October 2 at 11 a.m. EST at St. Paul National Catholic Church in Belleview, Florida.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, April 26 at the park in Powers. 1 to 5 p.m. CST.
