Nancy J. Crowe

ESCANABA — Nancy J. Crowe, 85, of Escanaba, passed away the evening of Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Hospital.

She was born on July 29, 1939 in Escanaba, daughter of Ray and June (Hutt) Erickson. She graduated from Holy Name High School in 1957.

She married Kenneth L. Crowe on December 13, 1958 in Escanaba.

As Kenneth was in the US Coast Guard, they moved frequently. They were stationed in Houghton, Alaska, and Grand Marais; but mostly in Escanaba where they started their family.

Nancy loved traveling, scrapbooking, cooking, baking, canning, birdwatching and spending time with her family. She especially loved the time she had with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Among her survivors are her children, Paul (Carol) Crowe of Escanaba and Traci Couillard of Oshkosh, Wis.; grandchildren, Travis (Ashle) Crowe, McKenna Crowe, Kennedy Couillard, and Cole and Cody Crowe; great-grandchildren, Maddilynn, Alex Jr., and Zaedyn VanBrocklin; other loving family members; and her best friend for years, Joan (Vic) Zar.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Diana Robitaille; and siblings, Jo and John Erickson.

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 9 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in Escanaba with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating. A message of condolence may be directed to the family by visiting www.crawfordfuneralhomes.net. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Crowe family.
