Judith A. Brunette
ROCK, Mich. — Judith A. Brunette, age 85, of Escanaba, formerly of Rock passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay surrounded by her loving family.
Judy was born June 14, 1939 in Escanaba the daughter of Stephen and Mabel (LeQuia) Rabideau.
On October 15, 1955 Judy was united in marriage to William Brunette and together they made their home and raised their family in Rock.
Judy held various positions and spent time volunteering at Mid Peninsula Area Schools.
She was involved in the senior centers of Gladstone, Escanaba and Rapid River. She was a member of Tops and enjoyed playing bingo, reading and going out to hunting camp to spend hours playing cards.
Judy was an active member of All Saints Catholic Church. She loved knitting and crocheting. She gifted many of her final pieces to weddings and births in the family. Judy adored her family and never missed an opportunity to support them at events. She tried to make them all. Family meant everything to her and the best time spent was with them. Every year she looked forward to camping in Gladstone. This was a family tradition for over 35 years.
Judy is survived by: sons, William (Debra), Gregory (Brenda) and Michael (Tracey) Brunette; daughters, Kathryn (Rob) Henize, Susan (Terry) Royer, Sally (Auvergne) Richmond, Marie (Todd) Frazer and Christine (Greg) Trowbridge; additional family member, Dean Koski; brother, Stephen “Pete” (Carol) Rabideau.
Also listed among the surviving family are 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren with three more on the way, one great-great-grandchild and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her husband and brothers, Jim and John Rabideau
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28, from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 5 p.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall.
