Sheila Servant
ROME, Wis. — Sheila Servant, 55, of Rome, Wisconsin passed away June 30, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital from complications from surgery.
Sheila was born in Escanaba, Michigan on September 19, 1968, to Sandra and the late LeRoy Brunette of Gladstone, Michigan.
She graduated from Escanaba High School in 1986.
Sheila married the love of her life, Mike Servant on June 20, 1987, at St. Anthony’s Church in Wells, Michigan and they were blessed with 37 years of marriage.
Her first son, Michael, was born November 24, 1990, and her second son, Mitchell was born March 23, 1994.
In 1998 her family moved to Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
Sheila’s dream was to go back to college. She graduated with high honors in 2001 from UWSP with a bachelor of science degree in education. She went on to be a substitute teacher for the WRPS, before becoming a full-time teacher for Wood County Head Start. She moved on to CAP Services of Stevens Point, as a site manager and then an educational coach.
Sheila loved working with her school kids. She gave 100% in all positions and in teaching. Sheila would do anything, for anyone, and was a friend to all. She touched the hearts of many people and will be deeply missed.
Her husband, children and grandchildren were the loves of her life. She also loved her flowers and they had just redone her yard. She enjoyed reading and going to the casino with her mom when she visited her in Escanaba. She loved living by Lake Sherwood and living the “Lake Life”, which included many boat rides and campfires.
She is survived by her husband Michael, sons Michael Jon (Amber) and Mitchell Servant, grandchildren Jacob, Caden, Rylei, Rowan and Carson Servant, mother Sandy Burnette, father-in-law Jon Servant, sister Sharon (Jim) Klee, brother Tony (Sandy) Brunette, brother-in-law Jon (Brenda) Servant, sisters-in-law Kim (Troy) Mosier, Terry (Tom) Skradski, and loved by many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, LeRoy Brunette, and mother-in-law Marlene Servant, sister Sherry Brunette Barstow, and nephew Riley Klee.
She was so loved and will be deeply missed by all.

Services will be held to celebrate the life of Sheila Servant at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin on Monday July 8 at 4 p.m. visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Spring Branch Cemetery in Rome on Tuesday, July 9.
