Alice L. Karl

ESCANABA — Alice L. Karl, 93, of Escanaba, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Lakeview Assisted Living in Gladstone.

She was born on September 23, 1930 in Perronville, daughter to Theodore and Frances (Slowinska) Andzejewski. Alice attended Perronville School and Bark River Harris School.

On August 13, 1949, the former Alice Andzejewski married Frank Karl at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Nadeau.

She was a member of St. Thomas Church.

Alice loved dancing, going to the casino and the family cottage on Round Lake, camping, and traveling often with the traveling bus tours.

She is survived by children, Joe (Kathy) Karl of Escanaba, David (Donna) Karl of Escanaba, and Donald (Vicky) Karl of Brooksville, FL; 14 grandchildren, Tina Karl, Carrie (Don) Krause, Tracy (Joe) Pinar, Roxanne (Jeff) Carlson, Stefan Karl, Scott (Kelly) Karl, Thomas Karl, Todd Karl, Brandy (Matt) Byrde, Brianna (Josh) Behnke, Derek (Melanie) Karl, Linnea (Rich) Forney, and Dan (Lisa) Duchney; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Frank, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Sydney Karl and Shayne Lancour; brothers, John and Walter (Irene) Andzejewski; sisters, Louise (Geworge) Kulawiak, Helen (Mitchel) loss, Mary (Louie) Dizlowy, Anna (Walter) Pach, Julia (George) Kakuska, Stella Carlson, and Vicki (Walter) Kotulski.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 17 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at noon with Pastor Louis Hague officiating. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
