RAPID RIVER — Alan L. Branstrom, age 73, of Rapid River, passed away on June 30, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.

Al was born on June 21, 1951, in Escanaba, the son of Arthur “Dick” and Erma (Demeuse) Branstrom. They relocated to Taylor, Mich. when Al was young, and he later graduated from Taylor High School. Following graduation, Al moved back to the Upper Peninsula to further his carpentry career. Al worked in carpentry for most of his life, most recently being employed with 41 Lumber in Escanaba. Al was united in marriage to the former Lynn LaPointe, and they shared 44 wonderful years together. Al enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing trips, boat rides on Little Bay de Noc, the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his family.

Al is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; children, Darla Diamantte, Jo Ellen (James) Lusardi, Kerry (Steven) Delgoffe, Robin Michales, and Jeffrey Martin; grandchildren, Brooke Delgoffe, Courtney Borgnakke, Alexa Diamantte, and Natalie Delgoffe; siblings, Robert (Terri) Branstrom, Arthur (Mary) Branstrom, and Richard Branstrom; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Erma.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 12 to 3 p.m. at Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.
