Eleanor M. Thibault

Eleanor was born on October 21, 1932, in Fairport, Mich. the daughter of Richard and Jennie (Louis) Collins.

On June 20, 1953, Eleanor was united in marriage to Robert V. Thibault and together the couple made their home and primarily raised their family in Rapid River. Eleanor was dedicated to her family and faith, and will always be remembered by those who loved her.

Survivors include: siblings, Pauline Cleary, Rita Mendez, Miriam Smith, Jude Collins; sons, Andrew (Yuko) Thibault, Paul (Beth) Thibault, Thomas (Kelli) Thibault and Joseph Thibault; daughters, Patrice (James) Waters, Elizabeth (Troy) Johnson, Jacqueline (Mark) Majestic and Kristen (Eric) Thompson. Also listed among the surviving family are 24 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, her son, Theodore, and her siblings, Rosalie, Catherine, Monica, Teresa, James, Virginia and Gerard.

Family will receive friends on Monday, June 10h from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Rapid River. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. A luncheon will be served in the parish center. Eleanor will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Rapid River Cemetery.
