Allen K. Korth
GLADSTONE — Allen K. Korth, 82, of Gladstone, died on Friday, May 24, 2024 at OSF Hospital. His funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Burial followed the service in Otter Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Sierra Club, National Audubon Society, or the Alliance for the Great Lakes.
Allen was born in Pontiac, Mich. on August 19, 1941 to Elmer and Annie Korth. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. After his retirement from Buick, Allen moved to the U.P. to build his dream home on Pike Lake surrounded by nature. He loved the outdoors, going on walks and hiking. He enjoyed watching and photographing the wildlife while on his hikes. Allen was a sincere and honest man and a thoughtful and caring father, grandfather and husband.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kamaraimen; children, Dana Korth, Allen Korth, Jr. and Lori Phillips; grandchildren, Nicole Phillips and Kyle Korth; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy Kontyko and Gloria and John Lenz; mother-in-law, Violet; brother-in-law, James; sister-in-law, Janis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Garret; and brother, Charles.
