Carol Rogers
ESCANABA — Carol Rogers, 61, of Escanaba, passed away at her home unexpectedly on Thursday, May 23, 2023 of natural causes.
She was born on June 23, 1962 in Dunoon, Scotland. On May 29, 1987, the former Carol Potter married Daniel Rogers at their camp on the Escanaba River. From that day forward Carol learned what unconditional love was. During their time together they enjoyed camping with their four kids, scavenging for driftwood, and babysitting their grandkids. During Carol’s time with us, there was never a person she wouldn’t help. From making large dinners for anyone that would show up to her house to helping anyone in need, Carol thrived when she was able to help people and animals in need. Carol loved gardening, baking and watching the Green Bay Packers. She adored her two dogs, two cats, grandchildren and all of her family.
For over 25 years, Carol has worked at Walmart. She loved her work family. She previously worked at the House of Ludington and the Highland Golf Course.
Among survivors are her husband, Dan of Escanaba; children, Nycole (David) Jones, Danny (Shala) Rogers, Whitlee (Kade) Twitty, and John (Kari) Rogers; grandchildren, Ella, Brianna, Aubree, Zander, Hallee, Kelbi, Wilder, and Letty; and siblings, Karl (Angela) Henrichsen, Sherry (Bruce) Wellman, Lisa (Ivan) Flores, Nancy Dickerson, and Melody (Jon) Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Grandma Peg, father and mother-in-law, John and Betty Rogers; and brothers-in-law, James “Crapper” Rogers and Dan Roberts.
A celebration of Carol’s life will take place at a later date.
To honor Carol, memorials may be made to the Delta Animal Shelter, 6911 County 426 M5 Road, Escanaba, MI 49829.
