Ted A. Bartczak

Ted was born on February 20, 1940 in Stambaugh, Michigan, the son of Casimir and Bertha (Deladio) Bartczak. Ted was united in marriage to the former Jacqueline “Jackie” Whitman on June 11, 1960. Together they shared 63 years together. Ted worked as a road and bridge construction project engineer for 31 years through the Michigan Department of Transportation. He also was a member of the Rock Lions Club, Mapleridge Township Board, Tri-Township Board, and the Superior Deer Management Board. He enjoyed camping, trapping, hunting, fishing, and traveling on bus trips. But most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. They will miss him dearly.

Ted is survived by his loving wife Jackie; children, Todd (Tammy) Bartczak, Terry Bartczak, and Jill (Pat) Strahl; sister, Pat Presti; grandchildren, Jon Bartczak, Bobby Bartczak, Tony Bartczak, Taylor Bartczak, Tanner Taylor, TJ Bartczak, Tara Strahl, Dominique Depas, and Desmond DePas; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Gwen Bayerl.

Family will receive on Saturday, April 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services honoring Ted will begin at 1 p.m. with Rev. Fr.
