Ada Webber
ESCANABA — Ada Webber, 87, died April 8, 2024 following a brief illness. Ada was born September 16, 1936 to Marion and Emil Blazek in Gourley Township, Menominee County, Michigan. She grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and graduated from Powers-Spalding School in 1955. She married Richard Webber (deceased) and moved to Evanston, Illinois where her oldest daughter Susan (deceased) was born. They moved back to the Upper Peninsula to run the family farm where six children were raised where she remained after they divorced. Ada had three sisters, Lorraine, Ruth Ann and Ella: six children – Susan (John), Joyce (Michael), Faye, Jim, Carol (Bob) and Daryl: nine grandchildren: four great-grandchildren: numerous nieces and nephews and their children. She is preceded in death by her parents Emil and Marion, sisters Lorraine and Ruth Ann, daughter Susan and granddaughter Dani.
She was active in the American Legion in Carney for many years.
Private graveside service will be at later date.
