James Byron Eis

ESCANABA — James Byron Eis, age 68, of Escanaba passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba. He was born September 11, 1955, in Escanaba and was the son of Gerald and Lois (Sauve) Eis. Jim graduated from Escanaba High School in 1973 and then worked for the Delta County Road Commission until his retirement. Jim lived in Rock for many years, taking great pride in plowing the roads in the Rock area, with the Delta County Road Commission. He moved to Escanaba five years ago. Jim loved his dogs and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool and darts.

Jim is survived by sisters, Karen (Larry) Anderson of Gladstone, Nancy (Tom) Stanton of Grafton, Wis. and Wendy (Steve) LeRoy of Green Bay, Wis.; brothers, Gerald (Donna) Eis of Escanaba and Steve Eis of Escanaba and several nieces and nephews.

Private family visitation and funeral services were held at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Escanaba with Rev. Terry Frankenstein officiating. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
