Jacqueline Bridget Zehren

GARDEN — Jacqueline Bridget Zehren, 91, of Garden and Fayette, Mich. passed away on March 17, 2024, in Green Bay, Wis. She was born on March 24, 1932, to John Chayer and Dorothy Margaret Massey. She attended Puffy Creek Schools and Cook High School. On October 14, 1950, she married Donald E. Zehren in Garden, Mich. They made their home and raised their family on the Garden Peninsula. Jackie enjoyed reading, volunteering at many events including church dinners and with the historical society. She was an EMT for a brief time and devoted many parts of her life to serving others. Perhaps Jackie’s greatest joys were traveling with her husband and family throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Jackie loved her family and grandchildren and spending time with them.

She is survived by her daughters Marcia (Stan) Hutjens of Green Bay, Wis. and Paula (Ron) Caldwell of Pulaski, Wis.; grandchildren, Jacob Caldwell, Jessica (Chad) Towne, Christopher, Vicki, Amber, Trisha Lemire and Teresa; great-grandchildren, Teresa Towne, Gavin and Mackenzie. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; sons, infant Donald E. Zehren and Tim Zehren and parents, John and Dorothy Chayer; brother, Kent Chayer and sister, Verna Leon.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, on Thursday, April 4, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Garden, Mich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon at the church, with Father James Ziminski officiating. The burial will be in the New Garden Cemetery in the spring to be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to the family for future designation. Fausett Family Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
