Gloria Elna Porath

She was born on June 29, 1925 in Hyde, daughter to Victor and Marie (Anderson) Oakman.

On November 21, 1942, Gloria married Ernest Porath.

Gloria loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

Among survivors include her daughter, Carol Gloria (Ronald) Houle of Escanaba; grandchildren, Conroy (Lucy) Houle and Kim Houle; two great-grandchildren, MaKayla (Josh) Wiedenhoeft and Mary (John) Leaf; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ernest, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Regina Zappia and Sylvia MacDonald; and brother, John Manley Oakman.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 28 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Lewis Hague officiating.

Burial will take place in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
