Brian Allen Johnson

FORD RIVER — Brian Allen Johnson, 58, a lifelong resident of Ford River, passed away Sunday morning, March 24, 2024 at Christian Park Village.

He was born on October 2, 1965, in Escanaba, Mich., son of Walter and Rosemary (Nault) Johnson. Brian graduated from Escanaba High School in 1985.

Brian opened Paradise Audio & Video in 1990, where he installed remote car starters. He also installed and fabricated custom audio and video systems in homes and vehicles. Brian was a talented woodworker and designed many beautiful items. He was forced to retire in 2023 when he lost his vision.

His passion was music. He has an extensive music collection with every genre’ to choose from when he’d D.J. a party or event. Brian enjoyed camping in his mini-motorhome. He put many miles on that little camper that he had customized. For many years he followed along with the World of Outlaw circuit throughout the Midwest. He was also a huge NASCAR and Packers fan.

Among survivors are his mother, Rosemary; sister, Ann (Steve) Rouse; brother, Michael (Tammy) Johnson; sister-in-law, Jamie Johnson; aunts and uncles, Wayne (Carol) Nault, Eileen (Mike) Hayward, and Jean Lusardi; nieces and nephews, Mark and Jennifer Rouse, Heidi Johnson, Katie Wangerin, Noah Johnson, Eli, Brettin, Seth, Dante, Audix, Daisy, Jack, and Journey Rouse, Genesis Liebhaber, Lyndon and Piper Jesse and Brinley Wangerin.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Johnson; niece, Cordelia Rouse; nephew, Greg Rouse.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 30 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Deacon Terry Saunders officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Johnson family.
