Virgie D. Presley

GLADSTONE — Virgie D. Presley, 76, of Gladstone, passed away early Friday morning, February 2, 2024, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

She was born on February 25, 1947, in Detroit, the daughter of Virgil and Julia (Duty) Presley. Virgie was raised in the Davenport and Detroit area, graduating from Romeo High School, class of 1964. She continued her education at Oakland Community College.

She has resided in Gladstone, Mich., for seven years and was a beloved member of the Northern Lights YMCA swimming club, “The Mermaids”. She always enjoyed attending the various activities and sporting events for her grandchildren. She was known for her unwavering dedication to supporting and showing up for her family, always bringing her famously fun-loving and kind attitude.

Additionally, Virgie resided in Davenport, VA, often taking her kids and grandkids on memory-making trips to the mountains. She always had a passion for travel that filled her life with amazing experiences and ensured her loved ones had many heartfelt memories to keep with them.

Among survivors are two children, Tammatha Dean-Wolfe (Scott) Beauchamp of Gladstone, Mich., and Robert Ralph (Stephanie) Wolfe of Washington Township, Mich.; grandchildren, Megan Haddad, Drew Haddad, Chloe Wolfe, Ava Wolfe, Braden Beauchamp, Luke Beauchamp, and Brooklyn Beauchamp; brother, Jack (Kathy) Presley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Wolfe Haddad; brother, Donnie Presley; a sister, Lyn Presley; and niece, Jennifer Presley. Virgie devoted her life to her loved ones; her greatest joy and accomplishment was her family. Virgie was very loved and will be extremely missed by all her family and many friends.

A private celebration of life took place in Escanaba, Mich., on Sunday, February 4. A succeeding memorial will accompany the burial in Davenport, VA, this May. Memorials can be made to the Northern Lights YMCA for the pool campaign in Virgie’s name, 2000 North 30th Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
