Emma Margaret Roberts

ESCANABA — Emma Margaret Roberts passed away February 2, 2024 surrounded by unconditional love and support. She entered her new heavenly home and joined her husband, Roy Roberts, her parents, brother Kenny, and loving dog Teddy.

She left behind two brothers, James Eckwright, and Roger Eckwright; a son, Cory (Heather) Roberts; and two daughters, Hope (Mike) Anderson, Olivia (Shane) Smith; as well as grandkids, Alicia Traxler, Chelsea Moyle, Cody Roberts, Dymond Anderson, Faith Hoholick, Hunter Anderson, Rosalynn Smith, Riley Smith, and Isabelle Roberts; nine great-grandkids and her puppy, Gizzmo.

She was born and raised in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and lived there until she met her husband Roy Roberts at a roller rink in Kenosha on a bet. She loved adventure and she joined Roy on the best one starting that day.

She was devoted to her church and family. One of her favorite things to do was to bring her family to church and spread the word of God into their hearts. She loved singing in the string band with her fellow church members and going on trips with them as well.

Traveling was a huge part of her life. She and her husband went to quite a few different places, Florida, Texas, Vegas, Virginia, and Nashville to name a few.

She hosted Camp 7 alongside Roy for many years, where her grandkids spent many summers making memories with them. Riding bikes, fishing, Johnny Cash by the fire, catching frogs, and making forts. She was with for every part.

With the many memories she made with everyone, there are pictures to go with. Emma loved the camera and being silly whenever she got the chance. We are very thankful she captured every moment she could.

Forgiving, fearless, devoted, caring, and generous are the best words to describe Emma. She’d cut in front of you in line to get on the roller coaster first, but she’d also give the shirt off her back if you were in need. The world is a little dimmer without her around, but Heaven is brighter with her there.

“Hey Emma, Miami!” -Lois

Services will be held at the Salvation Army on Friday, February 9 at 3 p.m., meal to follow.
