Judy A. Sundling-Dahn
STURGEON BAY, Wis. — Judy A. Sundling-Dahn, 64, of 21 E Spruce Ct, Apt #4, Sturgeon Bay, Wis., passed away at Aurora Baycare Hospital in Green Bay, Wis., on January 3, 2024 after a brief illness.
Judy was born on december 9, 1959, in Ravenna, Ohio, and was the daughter of Richard and Nancy Sundling.
After relocating from Ohio, she spent many years in Nahma, Mich. Judy graduated from Big Bay de Noc High School and was a prolific member of the “Nahma Gang.” Shortly after graduation, Judy relocated to Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and started her career as a welder for Bay Shipbuilding. After several years, Judy moved on to become a machinist for Emerson Electric, in Sturgeon Bay, Wis.
Judy’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her daughter, Sara, and grandchildren, Jaicee, Brandon Jr., and Baby Joseph. Judy was very passionate and involved with everything her grandkids wanted to do. Judy’s favorite TV show was “Law and Order: SVU,” and she would watch re-runs for hours with her dog, Marley.
In 2007, Judy met her longtime fiance, Bill Walls. They both enjoyed many happy years together. Judy always appreciated all the time he was there and his dedication and devotion to her.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Nancy Sundling, along with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Judy is survived by fiance, Bill Walls, of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; former husband, Joe Dahn, of Escanaba, Mich.; daughter, Sara Dickerson (Sam Paschke), of Algoma, Wis.; brother, Richard (Mannie) Sundling, of Rock, Mich.; sisters, Lisa Hamilton (Mike Lasecki), of Wells, Mich., Debbie Kowalefski (Tim), of Wauwatosa, Wis.; grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Jaicee, and Joseph, of Algoma, Wis., Nolan Walls, of Valmy, Wis.; niece, Samantha Sundling; nephew, Lucas Sundling (Jenna), Zachary Hamilton (Addy St. Aubin), Joey Deloria, of Milwaukee, Wis., Patricia Skinner, Jermey Walls, Amie Walls, Aunt Judy Berdquist, and June Bulinski.
Our family would like to express our appreciation to Judy’s doctors, nurses, and staff for all to the amazing care that they have provided to Judy.
A special thank you to Samantha Sundling for going ABOVE AND BEYOND with your help and support for Aunt Judy and all of the family. Judy was able to help two families by being an organ donor. Judy was a wonderful mother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life at a later date.
