James (Jim) Edward Therrian
ESCANABA — James (Jim) Edward Therrian, 84, of Escanaba passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay November 26, 2023. He was born In Escanaba on November 18, 1939, the son of Edward and Margaret (Cousineau) Therrian.
Jim was an Army veteran and a lifetime member of the Amvets. He started his own business, formerly Jim’s Auto Body/ Lake Forest Transmissions 58 years ago. He also had a country band, Cedar Creek Country. In his earlier years he raced pro stock and named his car Mountain Music.
Surviving include his wife, Claudette Therrian; children, Mike, Donna and Dan of Escanaba; six grandchildren, Eddie, Nicole, Ashley, Crystal, Amanda and Megan and several great grandchildren; his sister, Barbara LaCroix of Gladstone; brothers, Robert (Janice) Therrian of Watson and William Therrian of Troy, Michigan.
James was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Jeffrey Scott and a sister, Deborah Therrian Rood.
A celebration of life will be held January 27 at the Plumber’s and Pipefitter’s Hall, 2601 North 30th Street, Escanaba, MI 49829 from 2 until 7 p.m. A dinner will be served. Please visit www.skradskifuneralhomes.com to offer an online message of condolence.
