Wanda L. Soderman

She was born on June 22, 1956 in Escanaba, daughter to Lawrence J. and Darlene A. (Juhl) VanEffen. Wanda was a lifelong resident of this community and graduated from Escanaba High School, class of 1974.

On May 7, 1983, Wanda married Keith Michael Soderman at First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2021.

She enjoyed playing games on her computer, especially Candy Crush. Wanda loved her dogs and spending time with her grandson and family.

Wanda had a spirited and sassy personality that was contagious to those around her. She always chose the spice way of life and will be lovingly remembered for that.

Among survivors include her children, Keith (Connor) Soderman, Jr. and Tracie Soderman; stepchildren, Carrie Soderman and Matt (Crystal) Soderman; three grandchildren and another one expected any day now; siblings, Mike VanEffen and Tony (Brenda) VanEffen; niece and nephews, Michael Jr. Ryan, Matt, and Stephanie VanEffen; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Terry VanEffen.
