Jane Marie Vincent
IRON MOUNTAIN — Jane Marie Vincent, 64, of Iron Mountain passed away suddenly due to natural causes on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, in the comfort of her own home.
Jane was born in La Crosse, Wis., on Sept. 26, 1959, the daughter of the late Richard and Lydia (Paterucka) Powell. She was a graduate of Escanaba High School, class of ’77, and also attended Bay de Noc Community College. Not long after graduation, Jane was married to her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Scott Vincent, on Sept. 27, 1980, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Escanaba. Jane worked for many companies in her earlier years, including Wards, J.C. Penny and Shopko; however, she may be known best for pouring her love and passion for gardening into her business Jane’s Greenhouse. Her cooking and baking was excellent and came in particularly handy during holidays and her Super Bowl parties where she was often the only Vikings fan. Jane also enjoyed fishing, playing pool and soaking in the hot tub. More than anything, Jane loved time spent with family, particularly with her grandchildren.
Jane will be deeply missed by her husband of 43 years, Scott R. Vincent; children, Rachel (Jim) Bessette and Scott J. Vincent; grandchildren, Zane, Jacoby and Xenia Bessette; siblings, Jacqueline Powell (Andy Ahl), Richard Jr. (Lynn) Powell, John (Marilyn) Powell, Chad Powell, and Harry (Janine) Powell; sisters-in-law, Sherri (Jerry) Petersen, Renee (Dave) Mattson, and Kamie (Tim) Lancour; and many other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her twin granddaughters, Sophia and Lydia Bessette.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Condolences may be expressed to the family of Jane Marie Vincent online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the arrangements.
