Ida ‘Eda’ (Pardini) Ricci

ESCANABA — Ida “Eda” (Pardini) Ricci, 95, of Escanaba, passed away on Wednesday evening, December 20, 2023 at Bishop Noa Home.

Eda, daughter of Leo and Alberta (Consani) Pardini, was born on January 25, 1928, in Hancock. She graduated from Hancock High School in 1945. She worked as a secretary at the Houghton County Courthouse from 1945 to 1950. On October 21, 1950, she married Raymond J. “Joe” Ricci in Hancock.

In 1951, Joe and Eda moved to Escanaba. After raising her children, she worked at Holy Name Grade School from 1979 to 1982.

Eda was a great homemaker and was known for her exceptional baked goods, spaghetti, and pasty meals. She always enjoyed working in her yard and time with her grandchildren.

She was a long-time member of St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church.

Survivors include her children, Kathleen (Gerald) Collegnon of Escanaba; Patricia (Corey) Tewalt of Lakeville, Minn.; Sandra (Joseph Stocco) Ricci of Savage, Minn.; Debra (Kelly) O’Connell of Escanaba; and Mary (Mark) Vreeland of Savage, Minn.; six grandchildren, Jeff (Jen) Collegnon, Jason Collegnon, John (Alicia) Collegnon, Katie (Paul) O’Connell Shagalov, Anne (Jeremy) O’Connell Shope, and Patrick (Crystal) O’Connell; six great-grandchildren, Lauren and Bryson Collegnon; Noah, Landon, and Harper Collegnon, and Gabriella Shagal; and special friend, Mike Osier.

In addition to her husband, Joe, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church with Rev. Timothy Ferguson officiating. A meal will follow in the church hall.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
