Daniel Carlson

Dan was born on March 12, 1972, in Escanaba, the son of Lee and Linda Carlson. He was raised in Cornell and was a 1990 graduate of Escanaba High School. Dan learned automotive repair and mechanic work at a young age. In his younger years he worked with his Dad repairing and painting cars at home in their family garage. Dan went on to become a certified auto body technician and auto repair mechanic. He eventually opened Carlson Collision in Gladstone where he repaired vehicles for many years. Dan was awarded recognition for his automotive painting talent at a General Motors car show. An achievement he was very proud of.

Over the years he enjoyed hunting small game and whitetail deer, riding his Harley, cheering for the Detroit Lions and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Lee and Linda, Dan is survived by: brothers, Kevin (Tannia) Carlson and Keith (Lori) Carlson; niece and nephews, Frank, Katherine and Max Carlson.

Dan was preceded in death by: maternal grandparents, Frank and Ellen Carlson; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Mildred Carlson.

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow visiting hours at 5 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone with Pastor Terri Branstrom of Memorial United Methodist Church officiating.

Dan will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements. Messages of condolence may be offered at www.skradskifuneralhomes.com
