BARK RIVER — Clara Mary Meyers, 93, of Bark River, passed away on Thursday morning, December 14, 2023, at Bishop Noa Home.

She was born in Bark River on June 1, 1930, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Grabos) Koszla.

Clara attended Bark River School and was a lifelong resident of the Bark River community.

On August 16, 1947, Clara married Stanley Meyers at St. George’s Church in Bark River.

She was a devoted wife and mother and worked the family farm with her husband, Stanley. Clara enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

She is survived by children, Greg (Ileen) Meyers of Bark River, John (Marcia) Meyers of Sun Prairie, Wis., and Jim (Gwen) Meyers of Bark River; grandchildren, Jeff Meyers (Candi Kasprzak), Jeremy (Aubrey) Meyers, Amy (Adam) Pitcher, Melanie (Eric) Juedes, Kevin (Ashlee) Meyers, Kelli (Brian) Helgemo, Karrie (Chad) Nichter and Tiffanie (Kyle) Decker; 12 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rosie Koszla; and many nieces and nephews.

Clara was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Mary; husband, Stanley; infant daughters, Christina and Denise; infant grandson, Elmer Juedes; sister, Vera (John) Grzyb; and brother, John Koszla.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 1236 Old Hwy 2 & 41, Bark River. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church at noon with Rev. Darryl Pepin officiating. A meal will follow in the church hall.

Burial will take place in Bark River Twp. Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the family and a memorial for the church will be established at a later date.
