Dorothy F. Alexander

Dorothy was born March 28, 1943 in Wyandotte, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Josephine (Gross) Kalesar. She was united in marriage to Gerald L. Alexander. Dorothy graduated from Northern Michigan University and worked as a home care specialist shortly after graduation. She also worked as a transcriptionist for OSF St. Francis for several years. Dorothy enjoyed the outdoors and taking rides through the woods during the fall.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Gerald Alexander of Iron Mountain; daughter, Christine Alexander of Manistique; grandchildren, Tyler Brandt, Randa Denny, Katie Scott and Rachel Scott; great-grandchildren, McKenna and McKenzie; and a brother, Joseph Kalesar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald and her parents.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone.

A luncheon will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Gladstone. She will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery.
