Clara M. Moser
ESCANABA — Clara M. Moser, age 92, of Escanaba passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023. She was born May 1, 1931 in Gladstone, Mich. and was the daughter of James and Laurencia (Eagle) McKnight. Clara was raised in Gladstone where she also attended and graduated from Gladstone High School in 1949. The former Clara McKnight married Harold Moser on October 25, 1952 in Gladstone and together the couple ran a dairy farm in Danforth until their retirement in 2001.
Clara is survived by her daughter, Joan (John) Hatfield of Escanaba; grandson, Dustin Hatfield; brothers, Richard McKnight of Florida, Elmer (Dorothy) MacKnight of Racine, Wis.; sister, Frances McCulley of Las Vegas, Nev.; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her brothers, Arnold Eagle, LeRoy McKnight and Jim McKnight; sisters, Marion Leisenring, Patricia Irving and Doris Scheuren.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 2, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Clara will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Christine Bergquist officiating. A luncheon will be held at the conclusion of the services at the Wells Township Lions Club.
