Robert Weberg
LAKE VILLA, Ill. — Robert Weberg, 78, of Lake Villa, Ill., passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at his home.
He was born on May 19, 1945 in Escanaba, son to Arthur and Genevieve (Pilon) Weberg. Robert graduated from Escanaba High School and then served in the U.S. Air Force until his honorable discharge.
Robert attended Georgia State University and then earned his PhD in chemical engineering.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Weberg.
Among survivors are his friend and caretaker, Nijole Kaleinikovas of Chicago and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering to honor the life of Robert and Carol will be on Friday, October 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba.
They will be laid to rest in Gardens of Rest Cemetery on Saturday, October 21 at 10 a.m. with committal services being officiated by Rev. Rick Courier.
