Thomas Marriot Stade
BILOXI, Miss. — Thomas Marriot Stade, 74, passed away Sept. 17, 2023 after a brief illness with cancer. Tom was born in Escanaba on Oct. 28, 1948 and was raised in Gladstone. He was the son of Glenn Stade and Earladean (Ward) Stade. He graduated from Gladstone High School in 1967.
He enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam. Tom attended the Kendall School of Art and was an accomplished artist and an avid golfer.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sue (Haizenga) Stade; son, Mark Stade; and daughter, Cindy (Stade) Murray; two sisters, Maxine (Raino) Maki, Becky (Rudy) Papaik; and sister-in-law, Susan Stade. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Scott and Robert.
There will be a celebration of life with military honors in the spring of 2024.
