Susan Kay Burks

She was born on July 16, 1957 in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., daughter of Lee A. and Mary June (Simmons) Thompson. Susan graduated from Rudyard High School and then continued her education at Lake Superior College.

Susan enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing dominos, spending time with her family, and riding the motorcycle with David.

She was a member of the Delta Menominee Heart of the North Lions Club.

Among survivors are her father, Lee A. Thompson; significant other, David Pearman; daughter, Jaimie L. (Christopher) Haynes; son, Patrick J. (Ariel) Reeder; grandchildren, Charles, Zane, Ethan, Ciara, Colin, Layne, Liam, Phoenix, Arthur, and Willow; brothers, Lee Thompson Jr., Ronald (Pat) Thompson, Timothy (Lisa) Thompson Sr.; sisters, Mary Ann Etcher and Jane (Tom) Lanaville; and sister-in-law, Elke Thompson.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sara; granddaughter, Madison; and brothers, Robert Earl and James Allen Thompson.
