Richard ‘Dick’ Valiquette
GLADSTONE — Richard “Dick” Valiquette, age 67, of Gladstone passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Monday, September 18, 2023.
Dick was born April 8, 1956 in Escanaba, the son of John and Cecilia (Cota) Valiquette. He was raised in Gladstone and owned and operated Valiquette Excavating Company for many years. He enjoyed ice fishing, hunting and helping people in the community. He was united in marriage to Toni Wiltzius on January 10, 1981 at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone.
Dick is survived by his wife, Toni; son, Nick Valiquette of Gladstone; daughter, Kate (Michael) Trombley of Gladstone; grandson, Michael Trombley Jr.; brothers, Darrell (Pat) Valiquette, Jake (Sue) Valiquette, Keith Valiquette and Orvis (JoAnne) Valiquette; sister, Verna (the late Ron Sr.) Jaeger and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, brothers, Ronald, Harlan, Dwain, James, Joe and Marvin and a sister, Mary Ellen Valiquette.
Per Dick’s wishes no services will be held.
