WILSON -- Ilene E. Hahn, 78, formerly of Wilson, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Rosewood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Orlando, Fla.
She was born on May 11, 1945 in Detroit, Mich., daughter to David and Adel (Kint) Laszlo. Ilene was raised in Cedar Springs, Mich. Following high school, she earned her bachelors in education from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich.
Following college, she moved to the Upper Peninsula and taught at the Seventh Day Adventist Academy in Wilson. Once her children were born, she was a dedicated mother and homemaker.
She loved horseback riding, gardening, cooking, crafts, music, and following sports. Ilene was also an avid traveler.
She is survived by two sons, David (Kalinda) Hahn of Wilson and Bruce Hahn of Colorado; grandson, Cody Hahn; and siblings, Kathlene Wilson, Dan Laszlo, and Mark Laszlo; nine nieces and nephews and many cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacey Hahn and son-in-law, Richard.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Burial will take place in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery in Wilson.
