Michael J. Miron

He was born on October 31, 1962 in Escanaba, the son of Rodger L. and Barbara B. (Donovan) Miron. Michael was raised in Cornell and graduated from Gladstone High School in 1981. He went on to earn both a bachelor’s degree and an associate’s degree from Northern Michigan University.

Michael worked at Mead Paper Company as an electrician for 26 years until his retirement in 2020.

He was a skilled and talented handyman, always working on home improvement projects. Michael enjoyed skiing, boating, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He adored his grandchildren and was a wonderful grandfather.

Listed among survivors are his daughter, Melissa (Bo) Sharp of Escanaba; grandchildren, Dais and Kiera Sharp; soulmate, Melody Miron of Escanaba; siblings, Kevin (Michelle) Miron of Bark River, Kathy Miron of Escanaba, Ann King of Gladstone, Christopher (Jennie) Miron of Escanaba; and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Rodger and Barbara Miron; and brother, Joseph Miron.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S 13th St, Escanaba. An opportunity for family and friends to share special memories of Michael will follow at 6 p.m.

Burial will take place in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family and a memorial in Michael’s name will be established at a later date. Online memorial donations can be made by selecting the Tribute Fund tab on our website.
