Heather C. Kleiman

She was born on April 22, 1982 in Escanaba, Mich., daughter of Mark and Beth (Featheringill) Kleiman. Heather graduated from Escanaba High School in 2000 and continued her education at Lake Superior State University and then received her master’s degree from Michigan State University in 2006.

Heather worked for Sparrow Sports Medicine as a certified athletic trainer and was the longest serving athletic trainer in Mid- Michigan. She was a longtime Grand Ledge High School athletic trainer and her care for the students-athletes was unmatched.

She loved traveling with friends, attending Broadway shows, and assembling and collecting Lego sets. Heather was crafty, loved her dogs, and volunteered at Potter Park Zoo in Lansing. She loved her niece and nephews and was very involved in their lives.

Among survivors include her parents, Mark and Beth Kleiman of Gladstone; siblings, Mike (Stephanie) Kleiman of Rochester, Minn., Andrew Seguin of Escanaba, Lori and Alex of Sterling, Colo.; grandma, Carol Featheringill of Anthem, Ariz.; nephews and niece, Joel, Liam and Eliza Kleiman; aunt and uncle, Sue and Travis Curry; cousin, Jennifer Tessmer; and her scotty terriers, Loki and Jasper.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dave and Cathy Featheringill; Ted and Evelyn Kleiman; and several aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Life will be held in Grand Ledge at a later date.
